The other half to the Tendergrill, Burger King's Tendercrisp Chicken Sandwich features a deep-fried breaded chicken breast filet served with the standard lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo sandwiched into a corn-dusted bun. It is priced in the premium sandwich range for $4.19.
I went to Burger King a bit late on a slow night which meant there weren't any Tendercrisp filets in the warmer so I had to wait a bit while they fried one up fresh. Piping hot and still a little bit oily, my Tendercrisp filet was very crispy and very juicy. It was also a bit on the salty side. I would have liked it a bit more with more seasoning beyond salt.
Beyond the chicken, the lettuce, and tomatoes were fine, and the mayo wasn't excessive. The bun was soft and not too dense or thick. The corn meal adds a little bit of texture.
Between the Tendergrill and the Tendercrisp, I tend to like fried chicken but I have to give the nod to the grilled version; it was just better seasoned and more flavorful. I would also get a McChicken over the Tendercrisp; the Tendercrisp is crispier, but the McChicken is a lot cheaper and just seasoned a lot better.

I love these! The mayo and lettuce are good and the chicken is nice and flavorful and crispy. I always order mine without tomato and I could eat at least two of these at a time if it wouldn't overstuff me so much. They're that good!
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely try pouring buffalo sauce in it, makes the burger much more better
ReplyDeleteand eat the spicy cheese one, not this shit ;)
ReplyDeleteI don't think they have a spicy cheese one in my area... =(
ReplyDeletethe worst chicken sandwich ever! tried it twice, and felt sick. 2000 mg of salt, and 800 calories. no wonder. I suggest that you stay far away.
ReplyDeleteshould have called corporate!
ReplyDeleteFound bone in middle of mine about 1 1/2" long. Really gross. Went to manager and showed her. Can you believe they were only willing to replace the sandwich and not just give me my money back???!!!
