Dairy Queen's Pumpkin Pie Blizzard features pumpkin pie filling and crust blended with vanilla soft serve finished with whipped topping and nutmeg and is only available for the month of October.
I picked up the mini size while at the mall at the inflated mall price of $3.29.
My Pumpkin Pie Blizzard didn't come with whipped topping and nutmeg but I didn't mind the loss of extra calories too much. The vanilla soft serve makes up for the whipped topping anyhow.
With actual pumpkin pie filling mixed in, the Blizzard really tasted like pumpkin pie a la mode. The spiced pumpkin flavor mixed with the vanilla makes for some great eating. Add in crunchy pieces of shortbread-like pie crust and it's quite the treat for pumpkin pie fans.

I had one this week and it was awesome.
ReplyDeleteAt that price is it any wonder Warren Buffet is a multi-billionaire?
ReplyDeleteLast I read his Berkshire-Hathaway still owns DQ.
I wonder if Warren ever mentions the horde of low-paid worker underlings whose efforts cumulatively send the wealth ever-upwards?
How I wish for the return of "Mom and Pop" eatin' places but as has been proven by research it is difficult to compete with implanted desires via expensive intensive advertising.
Very complicated topic that few are willing to invest time needed to comprehend.
