Review: Burger King - Mocha Frappé

Burger King's Mocha Frappé is their new analogue to McDonald's version of the same name and features the same blend of ice, mocha (chocolate syrup) with a hint of coffee flavor.

I picked up a 12-ounce small for $2.49.

They have a single blender at my local Burger King for making Frappés and Smoothies. One of the employees blended some ice and some pre-mix from a carton and then left the cup on the counter. Another employee then preceded to make a sad mound of whipped topping and the worse chocolate swirl I have ever seen; it was more like a chocolate blob on a cake decoration.

It's kinda funny because the whipped topping actually comes out of one of those cake decorating sacks which give you more control when dolling out the whipped cream.

BK's Mocha Frappé  had a pretty good consistency, but it didn't taste so great. It tastes a bit like something you'd get from one of those vending machines at 7-Eleven.

I couldn't detect any notes of coffee flavor. There was the taste of chocolate but it was kinda weird and not the rich chocolate notes you typically want. Finally, there wasn't any milky creaminess either. It tasted mostly of cheap chocolate and ice.

Burger King really whiffed it with their new Mocha Frappé . I was hoping for something better and it left me sadly disappointed.
