News: Burger King - New Chicken Nuggets and More New Items!

The menu turnstile has been really rolling at Burger King ever since they expanded their menu last April. The latest slew of new and limited-time items includes new Chicken Nuggets (replacing the Chicken Tenders introduced in 2011), a new Whopper, sides, chicken, and dessert.

Here's a list of the latest additions:

Chicken Nuggets - Like pretty much every other chain, these are made with white meat chicken. This time around they're going with a "crispy tempura-style batter" that looks very McDonald's Chicken McNugget-like. They are meant to be crispier than the old ones.

BK Chicken Nuggets come in 4-piece, 6-piece, or 10-piece servings with suggested retail prices of $1, $1.99, and $2.69 respectively (may vary). Curiously, you'll note that, at some locations, two 4-pieces ($2) will cost you the almost the same as a 6-piece ($1.99).

Starting January 7th, they'll be offering a 20-piece size at a suggested retail price of $4.29, undercutting McDonald's current $4.99 price for the same.

  1. Wow..they are replacing the nuggets so quickly? I shouldn't be surprised really, I tried them in 2011 and they were average at best. I received a coupon for 4 nuggets (for 50 cents), so I will definitely try the 2013 nuggets. They keep trying new versions of the Original Chicken Sandwich and keep failing, maybe the Philly one will stick but I doubt it.

  2. What they need to do is bring back the beef! Their whoppers are so bad! The patty is a quarter inch thick! Its like someone sat on the patty, then they put it in some lower end bun, and charge an outrageous price. Corporate greed=bad product

  3. I think they tend just do limited time offers on the variations of the Original Chicken Sandwich. LIke the Whopper but less frequent.

The Italian version is the one that comes around often enough. Not terribly excited about the Philly.

  4. The new nuggest are actually not bad. They are EXACT copies of Mcdonalds Mcnuggets but with a slightly different seasoning. The look, texture, everything is a spot on copy of Mcnuggets.
