Basically stuff like queso, guacamole, and fajita vegetables are now included in the price whether you opt to get them or not. And therein lies the rub: because with the change, prices are up by $1 or so per item (varying with location), according to customer accounts on their Facebook. The responses are mixed with some preferring the change, while a good number are up in arms about the unexpected higher prices.
The menu now applies a two-tier pricing structure based on protein; the lower priced tier includes vegetables, ground beef and chicken, while higher priced tier includes pulled pork, steak and shredded beef. While guac and melted cheese sauce might be included, double meat/protein will still cost you extra.
The new pricing structure is currently being rolled out and should be at most locations by October 14, 2014.
Unfortunately, if you are a fan of their ranchera sauce, it was a casualty of the new menu and is no longer on the menu.
