Review: Pizza Hut - Gluten-Free Pepperoni Pizza

Pizza Hut's Gluten-Free Pepperoni Pizza is a Gluten Intolerance Group-certified pizza made with an Udi's brand gluten-free crust topped with pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni.

It only comes in a 10" small size and set me back $9.99.

The box for the gluten-free pizza features the Udi's brand logo quite prominently. It's actually much bigger than the Pizza Hut logo.

The crust ended up feeling very much like Pizza Hut's thin crust. It had a hearty crunch to it but isn't as airy or flaky.

It also reminded me of a Totino's pizza crust but was much flatter and without any air pockets.

It seemed like they baked the crust as well as you can without burning it, which was a good thing because gluten-free crust can be a little gummy otherwise. There was still just a slight bit of gumminess under the toppings.

The sauce, cheese, and pepperoni came spread out in a very even fashion and the pepperoni was cooked just right for me. The slices had just a little bit of crispiness at the edges while staying moist.

Overall, Pizza Hut's Gluten-Free Pepperoni Pizza turned out rather well and was pretty enjoyable. It's small and pricey for what you get but that's the reality of gluten-free substitution.
