Hostess Introduces New Deep-Fried Twinkies

In case you can't make it out to your local county fair, Hostess is rolling out new packaged deep-fried Twinkies at Walmart stores nationwide. A wider release to other retailers is planned for later this year.

The new dessert features the iconic golden sponge with creme filling dipped in funnel cake batter, flash-fried, and then frozen for easy reheating at home. According to the box, they heat in the oven in minutes.

Deep Fried Twinkies are available in two flavors, Classic and Chocolate, and come seven cakes to a box. You can find them in the frozen food aisle. Walmart is selling them at $4.76 a box (may vary).
