The first of the duo is the Corned Beef Reuben, which includes corned beef, Swiss cheese, Bavarian-style sauerkraut, and Thousand Island dressing on rye bread (you can also add veggies and other condiments as you like).
The other half of the duo is the Turkey Reuben, which consists of the same ingredients except with a double portion of turkey instead of corned beef.
While the Reuben has occasionally made an appearance in select markets, this is the first time that it's been made available nationally. Apparently, corned beef, rye bread, Swiss cheese, Bavarian-style sauerkraut, and Thousand Island dressing have never been offered on a nationwide basis.
The new rye bread is made with unbleached wheat and rye flour and caraway seeds.
Both sandwiches can be found at Subway restaurants through January 1, 2017. Prices start at $5.25 for a 6-inch and $8.75 for a Footlong (may vary).
