Arby's Deep Fried Turkey Club features thick-cut deep-fried turkey breast, pepper bacon, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, iceberg lettuce, and mayo on a toasted star-cut bun.
I paid
$5.69 for one.
The turkey turned out really well with a nice, meaty, and juicy texture and a good amount of flavor. If you're expecting some crispness from the skin, you'll be sadly disappointed though; it was soft and just a little chewy. Still, if my Thanksgiving bird turned out this juicy and flavorful, I'd be mighty pleased.
Beyond the turkey, the sandwich doesn't deviate much from your typical club sandwich although the bacon and cheese managed to stand out. The cheese was wonderfully melted with a mild flavor (it's actual cheddar and not the pasteurized process stuff), while the bacon often a bit of a crunch and an enjoyable smoky, porky saltiness.
The tomato and lettuce were fresh with the lettuce provide just a slight bit of crispness. The bun was soft but resilient.
Overall, Arby's Deep Fried Turkey Club was very enjoyable. While it's not too different from the chain's
regular menu Grand Turkey Club, the turkey was much more satisfying.
