The Queso Crunch Burrito ($4.99) at El Pollo Loco is a limited time new item that I had a "buy one, get one free" coupon for. According to their text, it contains "flame-grill chicken breast, Jack cheese & poblano queso and crispy tortilla strips." I know "queso" means "cheese" and looked up that poblano is a mild chile pepper, so a chili pepper cheese.
As you can see it's a short, fat burrito that is grilled on the outside and unlike KFC's Toasted Wrap, the tortilla is actually crunchy.
It's pretty good, the chicken wasn't dry, you could taste the different cheeses and different textures. The one shortcoming I have to point out is that the crispy tortilla strips weren't crispy but I don't see how they could be unless you ate the burrito right off the grill.El Pollo Loco Store Locator
