Breaded, deep-fried and smallish, Burger King's Onion Rings are a BK Value Menu item for $1. It is a value-sized item so you're not getting much in the way of onion rings (read: child's size), so consider them a snack.
As far as onion rings go, these are probably the same as you can get in your frozen food section. On the other hand, you don't have to cook them yourself, they are fairly crisp, and have the requisite amount of give so you don't find yourself with an entire onion, sans breading, hanging out your mouth.
Plus, you get your choice of sauces: BBQ, Buffalo, Zesty (a horsedish-y Thousand Island sauce), Honey Mustard, Ranch, Sweet & Sour.
When you order a combo, your can get choice of fries or rings with no upcharge (although I think you do get a smaller size on the rings).

BK onion rings aren't actually rings of onions. They are mashed up and formed. Hence the uniform shape. I personally can't stand them because of that.
ReplyDeleteAh! That would explain why the onion doesn't pull out of the breading when you bite into them.

ReplyDeletea small carton of rings is the same carton used for french fries
helpfull hint small is red grey is medium and large is yellow
the onion rings and frys are the same size with a meal. it also cost 25 cents to get med on both too and 50 cents for large. i usually get the triple cheeseburger value meal with regular soda and large onion rings for $5 something. it is not on the menu but still on register. might take them a little time to find but it is around the middle on the second menu next to tie fish i heard. might be something like triple vm and they might get it mixed up with the triple whopper but hopefully can get it right. i also get everything added to the burger. oh and i get sweet and sour instead of the zesty sauce because it seems to make me have to go to the bathroom worse then i hear taco bell does. taco bell never does that to me btw.
ReplyDeleteHaha, TMI! TMI!
ReplyDeletesorry guess it was. it is true though.
ReplyDeletei don't like the onion rings at burger king. I love the new chicken tenders and the chicken fries are the best there.
