MOS Burger is a Japanese burger chain popular in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore (It also has locations in Thailand, Indonesia, and until 2005, in Hawaii). The chain was inspired by
the Original Tommy's in Los Angeles, CA which explains the similarities between their signature MOS Burger and Tommy's burgers. MOS stands for "Mountain, Ocean, and Sun."
While I didn't try it in Japan, I did make it to a MOS Burger in Taiwan. My cousin tried a Spicy MOS Cheeseburger for 70 NT ($2.23) which is a MOS Cheeseburger but with jalapeƱos slices in it.
The hamburger patty is a blend of beef and pork. Like Tommy's, you get a thick slice of tomatoes and some diced onions. No pickles though. The chili/meat sauce is a blend of tomato, onion, and beef. It's fairly sweet and a just little spicy. It's fairly watery and is mostly tomato as you can guess from the color. The cheese was fairly mild. The burgers are made to order.
It was of pretty good quality and the meat sauce is very different from American chili giving the burger a different quality than in the States. It was spicy but not unbearably so. I only took one bite though since it was my cousin's lunch!

Interesting, I didn't know that MOS was inspired by Original Tommy's
