Local Review: Porto's Bakery - Apple Strudel

Porto Bakery's Apple Strudel is priced at a reasonable 80 cents and looks a bit different from your typical strudel. It's shaped similar to their Guava Strudel but dusted with powdered sugar.

The crust was nice and very flaky. The apple filling, on the other hand, rather than having your typical cinnamon sweetness, had a cloying creamy aftertaste that I didn't care for at all.

There are few things I buy that I dislike enough to not finish eating them (I don't like to waste food!). The Apple Strudel Porto's Bakery in Burbank, CA, unfortunately, was one of those things. Don't worry though, I got someone else to eat the rest of it!
