Review: Popeyes - Louisiana Tenders

Popeye's Lousiana Tender
Popeyes' Louisiana Tenders, like their chicken, are available spicy or mild. I typically go with the spicy version, which is like mild in flavor but with a some heat, but nothing uncomfortable. As with most fast food fried chicken joints, Popeyes' Louisiana Tenders is their name for breaded, deep-fried chicken breast tenders.

The price for a set of three tenders in my locale is $3.59 or $6.99 for a combo with a regular side, biscuit, and regular drink.
Popeye's Lousiana Tender
Louisiana Tenders are covered in a very crispy batter with lots of texture (i.e. nooks and crannies) somewhat akin to KFC's Extra Crispy Strips but times two in the crispy department.

The strips I got were a little bit on the thin side, and were a little on the dry side because of it, but your mileage will vary. They were surprisingly not very greasy, especially for deep-fried chicken. The flavor is mostly salt followed by spicy heat. Simple but good and perfect for dipping.
