Hungry-Man's Buffalo Chicken Strips feature Buffalo-seasoned and breaded ground chicken strips paired with their standard sizes of sweet corn, mashed potatoes, and a brownie. Priced regularly at around $3.69, it's not unusual to find it a buck or two cheaper.
I've written about the corn, potatoes, and brownies many a time already so I'll just move on to the chicken. I will note that one this occasion, the mashed potatoes were somewhat grainy but everything else was on the up and up.
The Buffalo Chicken Strips were breaded with an almost panko-like crust. The crust was actually pretty crispy but that might vary with how you cook it. You have to be sure that it doesn't steam under any plastic wrap.
Individually, each strip had a substantial thickness to them and were relatively juicy. I wasn't expecting much from the seasoning but there was a nice buffalo flavor to the strips; like eating Buffalo wings but dry instead of wet. Good stuff.

do you cook you're microwavew dinners in the oven or microwave because this looks like it was fresh out the oven, the way the chicken its dry and crispy yet tender looking. mmm
ReplyDeleteIt's actually out of the microwave. They actually develop a decent crispy layer if you remove the plastic wrap over the chicken while cooking. The bottom where it touches the plastic tray is always soggy though.
