Cinnamon Melts are McDonald's take on the cinnamon roll without actually bothering to roll anything. They resemble monkey bread in form, are topped with a cream cheese icing, and are priced at $1.69 (may vary).
First off, McDonald's offering is curiously called Cinnamon Melts and not a Cinnamon Melt. So that customers don't confuse it with a cheese sandwich? I guess if pressed, they would say each piece that you pull off is a Cinnamon Melt and so taken as a whole they make Cinnamon Melts but that's just conjecture.
They are served warm and taste very much like the Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls you have to pop in the oven. Cinnamon Melts are fairly bready and very sweet. The cream cheese icing is some potent stuff.
They taste fine but generic; like something you could get anywhere. For that reason, I don't think I'd ever get them again. It just doesn't taste enough like McDonald's to me. Still, not bad if you're feeling like a warm, toasty, baked bread dessert at McDonald's (Specific, I know).
