Review: McDonald's - Crispy Ranch Snack Wrap

A longtime favorite of The Sister, McDonald's Crispy Ranch Snack Wrap have done quite well for themselves offering a lighter menu item for those with smaller appetites, as well as an alternative to burgers. They're promoted as food on the go and are a simple mix of a Chicken Selects Breast Strip, shredded Jack and Cheddar cheeses, shredded lettuce, and a Ranch sauce wrapped up in an open-ended tortilla.

The resultant Snack Wrap costs $1.49.

As a favorite of The Sister, I've seen quite a few of these and have taken a few bites here and there (sharing is caring, right?!) so I can say fairly confidently that the Crispy Ranch Snack Wrap tends toward inconsistency in the taste department. Sometimes, the ingredient ratios are just off: too much Ranch or not enough lettuce and cheese.
Good meat to tortilla ratio!
But the main offender is the chicken; some pieces are much bigger than others; one time I got such a short piece that a full quarter of my Snack Wrap was just lettuce, cheese, sauce, and tortilla. A mouthful of salad and tortilla is not so tasty.
On this occasion though, the Snack Wrap was spot on and very tasty; the chicken was seasoned well, crisp, and juicy, if a little skinny. It even looked pretty good to boot. Now, if only they always turned out like this...
