Review: Jersey Mike's - Turkey Breast and Provolone Sub

Jersey Mike's Turkey Breast and Provolone Sub has fresh, thin-sliced turkey breast and plenty of it with Provolone cheese with your choice of bread, vegetables, etc.

It's priced at $7.50 for a 7-inch regular-sized sub.

The Sister got this sub because she didn't want to share an Italian with me (We could have gotten a Giant size! ...Actually a regular would have been enough for the two of us). It's listed on their menu as one of their most popular subs.

Jersey Mike's doesn't quite have the salad bar selection of vegetables and condiments Subway does but I don't mind making do with the standard lettuce, seasoning, and tomatoes.

With the Turkey Breast and Provolone you get a lot of turkey meat and a lot of turkey flavor, so much that the provolone flavor gets a bit lost. But you don't get much else flavor-wise. Turkey by itself is a little too plain for me and I prefer a bit more variety like maybe some bacon for a Turkey club.

Basically, the Jersey Mike's Turkey Breast and Provolone Sub is a great sub if you like really like the taste of turkey and not much else or if you're looking for a lean meat, healthier sub. If you want something more interesting or more variety, I'd move on to one of the other subs.

  1. That's because Philly's Best uses Boar's Head! I really want to try the Roast Beef at Jersey's Mike's though. It says on the menu that they cook it on the premises.

  2. I just tried Jersey Mike's for the first time last weekend. I really liked it but not as much as the Philly's Best that closed in Pasadena last year.

  3. Also, two large combos was $29- a full ten dollars more than our standard order at Philly's Best was. So not quite as good and 50% more expensive.
