Review: Little Debbie - Oatmeal Creme Pies

Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies are probably best remembered for appearing in Disney's Honey I Shrunk the Kids in giant form after the kids were shrunk. Each individually-wrapped cookie consists of two soft oatmeal cookies with a vanilla creme center.

They're ridiculous cheap and retail for $1.59 for a 16.2-ounce box of twelve pies. They go on sale for about a buck or so.

I like Little Debbie's Oatmeal Creme Pies for two reasons: one, they're unique; no one else makes a similar product; and two, they're really good!
I don't think that the oatmeal cookies actually have that much oatmeal in them but I like the soft, brown sugar taste. They're a bit crumbly so be careful of the mess. The creme is a bit paste-like in texture (childhood memories right?) and isn't as strong in flavor as Oreo cookies. They strike a good balance between the cookies and the creme.
I don't know why other companies don't put out a similar product but I'm sure glad Little Debbie continues to make Oatmeal Creme Pies.
