Review: Sconza - Yogurt Raisins

I was waiting in line at Costco when I saw this giant bag of Sconza Yogurt Raisins for $6.99 so I grabbed it. Yogurt raisins sounded pretty good and I thought $6.99 for 2 pounds, 10 oz (42 oz) is pretty cheap!

The combination of yogurt and raisins goes pretty well together and sounds kinda healthy. Don't be fooled though, it's not really healthy at all, at least not this version.
The raisins are pretty good but then I've never really had crappy raisins. I think you'd have to try pretty hard to screw up raisins. The yogurt was nice and creamy but way too sweet. I suppose they're nice if you have a mean old sweet tooth but otherwise the yogurt layer is a too thick and much too sweet. A better raisin to yogurt ratio would help. I'd say each piece is about half yogurt which in turn is mostly sugar.

I think I'm going to have to finish this bag very, very slowly.

  1. I thoroughly enjoyed those yogurt raisins and wish Costco would get them again.  I wish I had bought many more packages before they were gone.  They are certainly more enjoyable than cookies, cakes, pies, etc. and satisfy a sweet tooth quickly.  I do not believe yogurt is mostly sugar or it wouldn't have that slightly tangy taste to it.
