Review: Taco Bell - Cheesy Double Decker Taco

Taco Bell's
newest limited-time menu item, the Cheesy Double Decker Taco adds the slightest of tweaks to the standard Double Decker Taco: some nacho cheese sauce to go with the refried beans that hold the Crunchy Taco to the soft flour tortilla. The price is especially nice at 89 cents a pop.

Taco Bell's nacho cheese is fairly understated in this particular application but that's not a bad thing. The Cheesy Double Decker Taco tastes much like a crunchy taco fused with a bean and cheese burrito. A bit of crunch, a bit of cheese, a bit of meat and lettuce. I like.

It's really not all that different from a regular Double Decker Taco but I like the Double Decker Taco as well.

The real kicker is that Taco Bell's Cheesy Double Decker Taco is only 89 cents(!) which at some locations is less than a Crunchy Taco and much less percentage-wise than the $1.29 for a Double Decker. More than the sum (price) of its parts? Yup!
