Stouffer's fairly recently introduced some sandwich and soup options to their line of frozen foods calling it their "Corner Bistro" meals. The Steak & Swiss Melt with Broccoli Cheddar Soup features an herb-topped focaccia bread filled with steak, onions, and mushrooms in a Swiss cheese sauce paired with a broccoli Cheddar soup.
The price is about the same as other Stouffer's frozen meals at $3.99 or about $2.00 to $2.50 on sale.
It might say "herb-topped focaccia" but it still tastes like a Hot Pocket. The steak, onions, and mushrooms were nice enough but there wasn't much to be found inside the melt.
Also, I didn't like the Swiss cheese sauce; it was way too liquid-y and threatened to spill out as I ate the sandwich. I would much prefer the actually use of just plain cheese like a proper melt should have. Some gooey, melted cheese would have been really nice and put the "mmm..." in melt.
The crust cooked pretty well with the use of the crisping sleeve.
The soup was okay. I've actually never had broccoli Cheddar soup before but it felt a lot like eating a liquid-y nacho cheese sauce. There wasn't much broccoli and it could have used a bit more Cheddar flavor as well.
Overall, this was just okay and I'd rather just pop open a can of soup and grill myself a ham and cheese sandwich for a much better meal.

A nice review. Not paid for the company itself. I'm tired of those.
