Review: Arby's - Jr. Buffalo Chicken Sandwich

Arby's Jr. new Buffalo Chicken Sandwich is their value Jr. Chicken Sandwich played to the tune of Buffalo; that is with Buffalo sauce instead of mayo. The sandwich is similarly priced at $1.

It's not on the menu on their website, so it's either regional or is being test-marketed.

As I've written before, Arby's take on the ubiquitous value chicken sandwich is really plain; the patty lacks seasoning beyond salt.
The Buffalo sauce makes it a little more interesting with a decent vinegary (but not overly so) heat but the sandwich was a little light on the Buffalo sauce and therefore, was still pretty plain, but less so than the regular version.
I think I should have just added Horsey sauce. Why do I always forget?! I always grab a couple of Horsey sauce packets every time I go to Arby's too.

  1. Kllkg9, why do you spam this fine blog?

    You are committing a travesty!!!!!!!!

The sandwich looks appealing but I tend to ask for "dry" spiced chicken sandwiches to cut back a few calories and, at times, toss aside one half of the bun and munch open-faced, omitting the calories and carbs in the half-bun tossed aside.

I usually feed the birds that often gather in the fast-food parking lot, cavorting and peering at those munching in their vehicles, eagerly awaiting a tossed or dropped tid-bit.

French fries seem to be particularly appreciated.

During winters' cold snow and ice-covered ground epochs I tend to toss out more grub to assist our feathery friends.

I guess I am not too cheep.

I wonder if those birds Twitter?

    Groan.

The pics above make the sandwich look tasty.

  2. Man, BE seems like it's getting spammed once a night now! Too bad, what a great blog you have here, best of luck getting rid of these guys.

Plainness aside, the quality of the chicken looks decent on these pictures. I don't always have the best luck texture wise with value menu chicken sandwiches at McD's, Jack in the Box, Wendy's, etc. The chicken just rarely seems fresh. This one looks a little better. A lot of Arby's stuff is overpriced in my opinion too, so maybe I'll give this a try sometime, and add a little sauce like you suggested. It'll give me an excuse to grab some of their curly fries too. :)
