ReplyDeleteI really like putting onions on my sandwiches (all year round!) I think the crisp crunch adds a great texture to any kind of sandwich and the flavor adds a little spice without a lot of calories!
ReplyDeleteNothing too heavy like mayonnaise or cheese. Turkey sandwich with some mustard, onions, and greens is a great summer sandwich for me.
ReplyDeleteTake some lightly toasted whole wheat bread, spread on some mayonaise, and top with cold, sliced tomatoes. Yum!

a heated-in-the-over French roll affair with mayo, salami and cheese then with added lettuce after baking.
Droolingly delicious and delightful.
An incredible edible of profound delight and its being free did not reduce the yumminess intensity a whit.
Not even a little bit.

ReplyDeleteTomatoes and pickles with a bit of horseradish mustard and some crisp lettuce accompanied by my choice of meat and cheese in mountainous quantities. Sometimes I will add in onions as well for a sweet and tangy crunch.
ReplyDeleteLots of vegetables... mushrooms, roasted peppers, eggplant, and tomatoes are some of my favorite ingredients. Maybe even some zucchini or other summer squash.
