Pepperidge Farm's Milano Melts are a recent innovation for Pepperidge Farm with a rich chocolate creme baked inside a crispy Milano shaped cookie.
Chocolate Dark Classic Creme Milano Melts feature a chocolate cookie with a dark chocolate creme center. A 5.75-ounce package generally sells for around $4.00 or about $2.00 to $3.00 on sale.
Okay, so here's the thing for me: since these are "Milano" Melts I was expecting something more along the lines of a Milano cookie rather than a Milano-shaped cookie. Granted the package is marked "crispy cookies" but I would have preferred the less crispy Milano cookie. The crispy version just doesn't give me that Milano flavor or texture.
The dark chocolate creme is fairly rich and delivers a nice bit of dark chocolate flavor but I just wasn't so crazy for the cookie part.
I would have liked these a lot better if it was just the dark chocolate creme sandwiched by two Milano cookies. It might have been a little messier but it would have also been a lot better.

I tried these, had high hopes but they blow! Much too crumbly and dry. Where's the "melt"?! I've had similar off-brand cookies from Dollar Tree that were better.
