Review: Arby's - Cravin' Chicken Sandwich

A slight revamp on Arby's prior Crispy Chicken Fillet Sandwich, the new Cravin' Chicken Sandwich features a slightly different take on the fast food standard premium chicken sandwich with Cravin' sauce plus the standard lettuce, tomato, and breaded chicken fillet on a sesame bun.

Roasted chicken is also available but I went with the breaded chicken filet. Both versions cost $3.79.

Arby's version isn't much different from similar offerings at other fast food chain establishments. The chicken was lightly seasoned and crispy, the bun was pretty soft, and the lettuce was a single leaf of green lettuce but wasn't wilted from the heat of the chicken (which might mean the chicken had been fried a while ago).
The distinguishing feature of the sandwich is the new Cravin' sauce which tastes like a tomato-y mayo with what I think is dill. The sauce is described as "a slightly sweet & tangy sauce made with mayonnaise, tomato, dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, spices and a touch of lemon juice." It was pretty good; the tomato and mayo is pretty normal but the dill makes it very nice and just a bit more interesting.

Overall, Arby's Crispy Cravin' Chicken Sandwich is mostly standard for premium fast food chicken sandwiches but the Cravin' sauce really sets it apart (in a good way).
