Review: Doritos - Stadium Nacho Tortilla Chips

To mark the release of Madden NFL 12, Frito Lay has brought back their limited-time Stadium Nacho  Doritos tortilla chips (they also brought back Tailgater BBQ).

An 11-ounce bag retails for $3.99 but I picked up this one on sale for $1.99.

When I think of stadium nachos, I just think of tortilla chips with melted nacho cheese and maybe some sliced jalapenos. Doritos Stadium Nacho (shouldn't it be "Stadium Nachos"?) chips are a lot busier than that.

There's a little bit of salsa-like tomato flavor and some cheesiness with a distinct note of sour cream as well as some heat from jalapeno powder and some beefiness at the tail end. It's pretty interesting how there are distinct segments of flavor if you're looking for it.

It reminds me most of Doritos Taco flavor except with a jalapeno kick.
