Review: Jack in the Box - Jumbo Breakfast Platter

Jack in the Box's Jumbo Breakfast Platter has your basic egg, meat, potatoes, and pancakes covered on one plate/container. Specifically, it comes with scrambled eggs, your choice of bacon or sausage, hash brown sticks, and mini pancakes.

I picked up a platter at my local Jack's for $2.99.

Have I mention how much I like that Jack in the Box serves breakfast around the clock? I had the platter for lunch, it's nice to have breakfast for lunch (or dinner... or after dinner) every now and again.
The food is pretty standard. The bacon was crisp and suitably bacon-y. The eggs were slightly buttery and serve to balance out the salt from the bacon and hash brown sticks. The hash brown sticks were not as crisp as I would have liked but were decent.

The mini pancakes were a bit rubbery and tasted reheated rather than freshly made. I think they might just be frozen and reheated; that's what they taste like anyway. Definitely, the low light of the meal.
Overall, Jack's Jumbo Breakfast Platter was pretty vanilla. McDonald's Deluxe Breakfast costs a little more but you get a bit more as well. Still, this can be had at all ours of the day, but even then I'd rather get Jack's Hearty Breakfast Bowl which offers much of the same ingredients but with more flavor.
