Review: Taco Bell - Bacon Ranch Chicken Flatbread Sandwich

Taco Bell's new limited-time, Bacon Ranch Chicken Flatbread Sandwich joins the returning Original Chicken Flatbread Sandwich and features a warm, pillowy flatbread folded over pieces of marinated white-meat chicken, a melted 3-cheese blend (mozzarella, cheddar, and pepper jack), and bacon ranch sauce.

It hits the low end of Taco Bell's pricing spectrum at 99 cents.

If you've tried the Original Chicken Flatbread Sandwich, the only difference with the Bacon Ranch version is the sauce which is a smoky ranch sauce that isn't very bacon-y. I much prefer the spicy chipotle sauce.

Other than that, I like the flatbread; it's squishy soft and very much like a gordita shell. Maybe they'll do a chalupa shell sandwich next!
I wished there enough cheese to make for some oozing gooey goodness in quesadilla fashion but there's not. There wasn't even enough to cover the inside surface of the flatbread.

The chicken was okay; lightly seasoned but not particularly moist. It usually costs more so I get why they use it sparingly in a value item but the distribution in my particular flatbread was a bit uneven.
Since I was popping the hood anyway, I redistributed for more even flavor.

Overall, not a bad deal for 99 cents and a little bit off-the-road from your typical Taco Bell fare. The sauce is not a favorite though.
