Stouffer's Spaghetti with Meatballs is one of their Signature Classics frozen entrees and features spaghetti with meatballs in a tomato sauce accented with spices.
A roughly 12-ounce box will run you about $3.59 at regular price or $2.00 to $2.50 on sale.
I really liked this one. It's simple but actually tastes better than buying a jar of sauce, adding meat, and boiling spaghetti noodles.
The spaghetti noodles here were pretty tender and just slightly but noticeably narrower than most spaghetti noodles I've eaten. They did stick a little to each other but it's easy enough to mix up the noodles and the sauce.
The meatballs were a good size and added some welcome meaty flavor.
But what I liked most was the sauce; it had a nice consistency to it--not too thin or thick. The seasoned flavor was quite tasty as well and it adhered well to the noodles and meatballs. Good stuff!

Yep, the lasagna is decent. This one isn't bad too though, I had it a few weeks ago for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor from the sauce and meatballs. The noodles are typical for cheap microwave stuff, but what would you expect?
ReplyDeleteYou should change this to like microwave mondays or something... Having a frozen dinner on a friday night is no way to start your weekend!
ReplyDeleteShunned almost all Stouffer's offerings for various reasons but, over many years, when on a BIG sale (rare hereabouts but 10 for 10 bucks at times), I will grab their cream chip beef offering.
ReplyDeleteGrabbed their lasagna at times in the "old days."
Yummy stuff so tastiness comments by reviewer easily believable from here in the shanty atop the Plateau de la Ozark.
