Dunkin' Donuts is out with a new sandwich: the new Texas Toast Grilled Cheese Sandwich.
The sandwich, which is actually oven-toasted and not grilled, features two slices of American cheese and one slice of white cheddar cheese sandwiched between two thick slices of Texas toast.
Bacon or ham can be added for an additional charge.

"oven-toasted and not grilled"
ReplyDeleteThat is how the school cafeterias mass-produced "grilled" cheese sandwiches for us, MANY decades ago, and for today's vile spawn when I was substitute teaching.
I usually ate cafeteria food when I substituted; out of curiosity of the vittles being shoved at the younguns' and to interact with the clamoring herd who often reveled when a teacher was present.
I also generally despised the full-time teachers and could barely tolerate their masses ignorance and other aspects of those well-indoctrinated willing participants in brainwashing youth.
Anyway...
If done properly the baked cheese sandwiches were edible. They needed to be baked long enough and NOT saturated with so much margarine they needed to be compressed between two absorbent surfaces such as a kid's shirt and pants or a couple or more napkins.
Bad Web connection so posting this now so as not to "lose" it.
