This year, Dunkin' is again frying up heart-shaped donuts, offering the Cupid's Choice Donut and the new Chocolate Heart Donut.
The Cupid's Choice Donut consists of a heart-shaped donut filled with Bavarian Kreme, finished with strawberry icing and a mix of pink, white, and red heart-shaped sprinkles.
The Chocolate Heart Donut is a chocolate frosted heart-shaped donut filled with vanilla buttercreme and topped with chocolate chips.
Not returning is last year's Cupid's Cocoa Donut.
Both donuts will be available at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide through the end of February.

I think that most companies should look to capitalize upon consumer-based holidays such as Valentine's Day. I don't think most people would think of Krispy Kreme when thinking of Valentine's Day. However, by making an active effort to cater to Valentine's Day consumers, Krispy Kreme is surely providing additional value to their customers. Krispy Kreme seems to be making all the right moves.
