Review: Frito Lay - Enchilada Supreme Doritos Jacked

Doritos Jacked tortilla chips are a recent innovation from Frito Lay boasting of being bigger, bolder, and thicker. I recently tried Enchilada Supreme Doritos Jacked which purported to meld the flavors of cheddar cheese with tangy salsa and the bite of Mexican spices.

A 10.5-ounce bag cost me $2.00 on sale off a retail of $4.29.

"Bigger" means these chips are about twice the size of regular Doritos. "Bolder" means they have more flavored powder on them. And "thicker" means they sport a heartier, more substantial crunch.

Visually, they're very orange; a deeper orange than the standard Doritos Nacho Cheese chips.

Taste-wise, I did get an initial strong Nacho Cheese hit crossed with a lighter, tangy note of Doritos Salsa followed by a substantially spicy heat. It's not immediately clear from the name and packaging that these are spicy so here's your warning: these are spicy!

Doritos Jacked vs. regular Doritos chip.
I'm not sure I'd describe the flavor as "Enchilada Supreme"; it doesn't taste much like an enchilada to me but I'm a fan of these new chips. I don't care about the bigger size or more powder, but I liked the extra crunch, the variation on classic Nacho Cheese Doritos, and the strong hit of spicy heat.
