King's Hawaiian makes hot dog buns now! I was pretty excited to see this since I love their rolls and there's a local hot dog chains around here use the actually King's Rolls for hot dog and hamburger buns.
What makes them especially nice is that the sides are exposed and give a nice grilling surface.
What I like to do is spread some butter (the part canola oil, part cream spreadable kind) onto the sides and grill it in the pan with the hot dog.
It forms a nice buttery crust that gives the bun a little bit of a French toast feel.
Just throw the dog in after and you have a nice blend of sweet and savory!
