Review: Ben & Jerry's - Strawberry Shortcake Greek Frozen Yogurt

Ben & Jerry's Strawberry Shortcake Greek Frozen Yogurt is made with real Greek frozen yogurt mixed with strawberries and shortbread pieces.

A pint retails for around $4 to $5 in my area. I try and pick them up on sale for around $3.

Compared to regular Ben & Jerry's ice cream, Strawberry Shortcake Greek Frozen Yogurt tends to offer less calories and significantly less fat while supplying a little more protein. Compared to regular yogurt, Greek yogurt tends to be bit tangier and creamier, with a distinctive taste.

Ben & Jerry's Strawberry Shortcake Greek Frozen Yogurt doesn't really taste like Greek yogurt to me. It just tastes like tart strawberry frozen yogurt (I guess frozen yogurt can also be tart though) that's not as creamy as Ben & Jerry's ice cream. It still tastes pretty good. A nice clean, strawberry flavor pared with tasty crumbly chunks of shortbread and bits of strawberries. My little nephew likes it too! I think he got brain freeze though.

It's not as adventurous as some Ben & Jerry's flavors, but Strawberry Shortcake Greek Frozen Yogurt is still pretty good, especially if you're looking to cut some calories or fat out of your frozen desserts. If you're looking for the unique taste of Greek yogurt though, I don't think you'll find it here.
