My local El Pollo Loco has these for $5.49 each, which is on the pricey side for fast food.
The quesadilla is about the size of a wide if flat burger. For a point of reference, I would say that that El Pollo Loco's new Stuffed Quesadillas is not as wide as a Crunchwrap Supreme, but wider than a Whopper.
I first noticed the bacon, which was so thick in some pieces that I left me musing if ham was supposed to be in my quesadilla. Biting into one, yielded a slightly chewy texture, without as much of the desired crispiness of bacon, but with an intense, flavorful, smoky flavor.
The chicken tasted like it came fresh off the grill; I could actually taste some charring... mmm... fire-roasted meat.
The last bit of the trio, the guacamole was buttery and plentiful with enough for every bite and then some.
The overall effect was a really tasty quesadilla. All the ingredients seemed made to go together and I enjoyed every bite. I will say that it felt a bit small, especially for the price, but I think I'm used to the huge, flatter quesadillas that they serve at some of the Mexican joints around here. My stomach still ended up satisfied.
