Lean Cuisine's Alfredo Pasta with Chicken and Broccoli is a simple meal of cubes of grilled white meat chicken, florets of broccoli, and rigatoni pasta in a creamy alfredo sauce.
A
10-ounce box typically retails for $3.29 at my local supermarket.
Chicken Alfredo is a pretty standard and basic dish. It's hard to screw up and Lean Cuisine does a pretty good job with it. The broccoli is a nice add for texture and nutrition.
The sauce was a tad on the thin side. It wasn't as creamy as the typical alfredo (it being a low-fat meal and all), but it was creamy enough and I liked it better than the norm which is too rich for my liking.
The chicken came in good-sized, cohesive chunks and, more importantly, were flavorful. The sported some substantial grill marks.
The broccoli was cooked just right and retained a great deal of texture and firmness. Similarly, the pasta was tender, but firm and held the sauce quite nicely.
Between the chicken, broccoli, and pasta, there was a lot of different textures and flavors going on. As a result, Lean Cuisine's Alfredo Pasta with Chicken and Broccoli was, while not spectacular, quite good and enjoyable.
