McDonald's is still working on their breakfast steak options and currently conducting
a limited-time test of a Steak and Egg McMuffin and Steak and Egg Biscuit out in Ohio.
The steak is described as "thick and juicy," "savory," and "seasoned just right."
Beyond your choice of English muffin or biscuit, each sandwich comes with steak, grilled onions, folded eggs, and melted American cheese.
Verified locations include McDonald's restaurants in Lima, Bluffton, Ada, Delphos, Van Wert, and Beaverdam
Apparently, McDonald's has been
testing the Steak McMuffin since at least 2010, so you can consider this a long work-in-progress. The steak in the latest test looks a lot more burger-like though.
McDonald's has previously offered a Steak, Egg & Cheese Bagel, but it seems to have been discontinued nationally and can only be found at some restaurants here and there.
Up in the Great White North (i.e. Canada), steak is also making a limited time appearance with the
Steak 'n Egg Bagel which is slightly different in it contains HP sauce (a similar-but-not-the-same sauce to A1) in addition to steaks, egg, onions, and cheese.
