Review: Taco Bell - Cookie Sandwich

Taco Bell's new Cookie Sandwich is part of their new Dessert Menu and features two triangle-shaped chocolate chip cookies sandwiching vanilla cream filling.

It cost me $1.29 for one sandwich.

If you ever thought that chocolate chips cookies would go awesome with Oreo creme filling, this is the dessert for you. There's plenty (maybe too much) of cream filling and it's very similar to that of an Oreo, but softer and fresher.

The chocolate chip cookie portion looked somewhat lacking in the chip department, but biting into it yielded some good-sized chocolate chips. The cookie was pretty thick, crisp and solid overall. I'm pretty sure they don't bake them fresh at each store since it seems a bit much to install an oven at each location for one menu item. I think they just warm the cookies a bit and assemble the sandwiches in each location.

All in all, Taco Bell's Cookie Sandwich was pretty good and different from what other fast food chains are offering. I'm surprised Nabisco hasn't stuck two Chips Ahoy cookies together with vanilla Oreo creme filling, because the combination is pretty tasty.
