They've basically halves of your standard Milano cookies with crushed peppermint candies on the dark chocolate side.
These were $2.99 at Target for a 5-ounce bag, which amounts to 15 cookies.
Milano Slices are for people who want less cookie and more chocolate, and the chocolate is yummy with just a little bit of that dark bittersweet taste.
Milano are describes as "crispy" on the bag, but I've never found them to be so. I've always thought of them as a little soft, airy, and crumbly. Here, they mostly serve as a vehicle to keep the chocolate off your hands, which is fine because the chocolate is good.
The little pieces of peppermint candies add a bit of a crunch and a decent amount of cool minty flavor that goes well with the dark chocolate. The minty flavor lingers very lightly on the tongue.
Overall, Pepperidge Farm's Peppermint Milano Slices are a welcome holiday visitor to the Milano line. The mix of crunchy peppermints, smooth dark chocolate, and light cookie is a good one
