Review: Wendy's - Mozzarella Chicken Supreme

Wendy's latest limited-time sandwich, the Mozzarella Chicken Supreme boasts a crispy-fried chicken breast filet two slices of natural mozzarella cheese, lettuce, a slice of tomato, and a creamy parmesan sauce on a premium toasted bun.

My local Wendy's has them on the menu for $4.69.

The chicken had a very nice crispy crunch to it and was relatively moist inside. It came in at a decent thickness and was long enough to creep out of the bun. The flavor was good as well.

The veggies were below par on this occasion, the one big lettuce leaf turned soggy on the short walk home and the lone tomato slice was very thin and soft.

The parmesan sauce was creamy and cheesy, but lacked depth. I was hoping for a bit more flavor from the mozzarella, the two melted slices added texture and creaminess, but that's about it.

Overall, Wendy's Mozzarella Chicken Supreme tasted mostly of chicken and creamy parmesan sauce, which made it just okay and not "supreme" for me.

  1. This is more than 4 times the price of the chicken sandwich from their value menu. The Mozzarella Chicken Supreme doesn't seem to be a good deal.

  2. Yeah, it reminds me a lot of the Monterey Ranch Crispy Chicken Sandwich. As long as you're fine with the chicken patty instead of a breast fillet, it's much cheaper and very similar.
