News: KFC - New Game Day Bucket and Box

With football season in full swing, KFC kicks off the new year with the new, limited-time Game Day Bucket and Game Day Box to feed you and your friends while you watch football (or really any event that gathers you around the television).

The Game Day Bucket comes filled with 8 pieces of fried chicken, 8 Hot Wings, and 10 Original Recipe Bites for $19.99.

The Game Day Box is similar but proportioned for an individual; it comes with 1 piece of fried chicken, your choice of 3 Hot Wings or 6 Bites, 1 individual side, and a medium drink for $4.99.

To market the association between KFC and football game days, KFC came up with a play on the word "tailgating" with the term "couchgating," i.e. sitting and watching the game on your couch while eating KFC.

They're also hosting a giveaway of a $5000 couchgating room overhaul plus other weekly prizes. You can enter by including the #couchgating hashtag to your Twitter tweets regarding your couchgating rules, tips or just photos of you couchgating. You can also enter via the KFC Facebook page using the appropriate app. The official rules are available on the KFC website here.
