While this might feel like it came out of the oven to some, I don't think it makes much of a difference either way. I'm not sure that cooking this particular dish in the oven adds anything other than more cooking time.
The rice was moist and fluffy. I couldn't really taste the wild rice though.
The chicken was nice and tender although cut fairly small.
I was not a fan of the sauce though and there was way too much of it here in proportion to the food. It had a sharp saltiness that did not please. I ended up trying to spoon much of it off to the side. It was creamy enough, but I just didn't care for the flavor.
Overall, this meal reminds me of Stouffer's Chicken a la King, but not as good. Most of the ingredients were decent to good for me, but the sauce just overpowered everything else.
