Review: Kellogg's - Buttery Toffee Rice Krispy Treats

Kellogg's new Buttery Toffee Rice Krispy Treats are basically your standard Rice Krispy Treats, but with a hit of buttery toffee flavor.

A 6.2-ounce box contains 8-individually-wrapped marshmallow "squares" (they're more like rectangles) and sell for around $3.79.

There's a chocolate and toffee drizzle on top of each Treat, but the texture inside is the same as a regular Rice Krispy Treat. There's the crispy crunch of Rice Krispy cereal and a little bit of stickiness, but not as much as when I make them at home.

While the texture isn't much different from the standard Rice Krispy Treat, the flavor includes a strong buttery toffee flavor similar to the stuff you find covering butter toffee popcorn. There's a buttery top note and quite a bit of caramel sweetness. The chocolate drizzle adds some light chocolaty notes.

Buttery Toffee Rice Krispy Treats are slightly too sweet for my liking, but the buttery toffee taste pairs well with Rice Krispies.
