A 6.2-ounce box contains 8-individually-wrapped marshmallow "squares" (they're more like rectangles) and sell for around $3.79.
There's a chocolate and toffee drizzle on top of each Treat, but the texture inside is the same as a regular Rice Krispy Treat. There's the crispy crunch of Rice Krispy cereal and a little bit of stickiness, but not as much as when I make them at home.
Buttery Toffee Rice Krispy Treats are slightly too sweet for my liking, but the buttery toffee taste pairs well with Rice Krispies.

I just tried these the other day. They taste okay, but I don't think there will ever another flavor as good as the chocolate and peanut butter ones.
ReplyDeleteI was more surprised with how small they are. It's been a really long time since I bought a box of these, but I'm pretty sure they used to be way bigger than this.
That's because there's not another flavor combination as good as chocolate and peanut butter! Haha... I've never tried chocolate and peanut butter Rice Krispy Treats though.

Oh man, they were so delicious. They had peanut butter Rice Krispies and a layer of chocolate on the bottom. Back when I used to get these kinda regularly they were pretty much the only flavor I got.
ReplyDeleteAdmittedly I was pretty young when I used to get these, so maybe they just seemed bigger back then.
Personally, I felt that the chocolate drizzle on the treat was overpowering. It easily dominates the treat and kind of defeats the purpose of enjoying the toffee flavor.
