A 11.3-ounce package retails for about $2.99.
There's a good amount of fudge on each cookie that might make it more candy than cookie. The fudge layer isn't overly sweet and delivers adequate chocolate notes, although not as good or smooth as a decent milk chocolate.
The chocolate wafer is actually a slightly different shape than a standard Oreo chocolate wafer. It's a tapered circular disc with a broader bottom that narrows a little at the top (Yes, I actually ate away all the fudge to find this out). There's a slightly hollowed-out crater on the top side where the peanut butter creme is contained. I'm guessing this is done so that the creme doesn't escape out the side as the fudge is poured.
The creme actually contains peanut butter and exhibits a fairly good peanut butter flavor although with the slightly different texture of Oreo creme. It's softer and not oily.
If you like chocolate and peanut butter in general, Peanut Butter Oreo Fudge Cremes are pretty good. I like them a little bit better than the very similar Peanut Butter Creme Oreos (which I like quite a bit) for two reasons: one, with one less Oreo wafer to compete against, you get a slightly stronger peanut butter flavor with the same smooth soft texture; and two, the fudge adds more chocolate flavor to the mix resulting in a more pronounced chocolate-peanut butter combo.
