Besides crazy gourmet burgers, they also make fry monstrosities like the Anvil, which is an order of fries topped with cheese curds, duck confit, duck gravy, and crackling for $7.
Grill 'Em All's Anvil fries are a variation on the Canadian dish poutine and while delicious, I have to say a little goes a long way. I'm like 99% sure that at least half the dish's components are either fried in or made up of duck fat.
There's a rich ducky unctuousness to the dish that is almost overwhelming and not for the faint of heart. The duck confit comes in plentiful amounts and makes the fries almost an after thought. The fries are twice fried and a little on the soft side. They're sometimes a little hard to taste over the blaring of the duck.
The gravy also carries the essence of duck and I'm pretty sure the crackling is made of duck skin rather than the usual pork. They add a thin, oily, crispy crunch.
The cheese curds end up adding creamy texture, but like the fries, I couldn't taste much over the duck.
What it basically boils down to this: if you like duck, get the Anvil fries at Grill 'Em All. It might be even duckier than eating an actual duck.
