I picked one up for $1 at my local McDonald's
If you're familiar with the McChicken, think of the Hot 'n Spicy as a McChicken with a sharp, spicy kick. A pretty serious heat departing from the normally mild McDonald's fare. I remember trying one of these on a road trip a long time ago and it was good, so I was pretty to happy to find it on the national menu now.
The chicken patty was moist and soft with a thin, adequately crispy coat. The taste starts out with same same flavor as a regular McChicken patty, but then introduces a pretty good spicy burn that I like, but is probably too strong for the mild-inclined, who probably wouldn't be buying it anyway. The mayo goes a long way in cooling the burn though.
I also bought a regular McChicken for comparison's sake. The regular version has strong notes of black pepper in the seasoning, but I couldn't really taste it after taking a bite of the spicy version. The patty colors are the only visual cues that differentiate the two value-priced chicken sandwiches; the Hot 'n Spicy has a orange-red hue to it.

Bottomline: if you like the McChicken, but always yearned for a heartier kick of heat. The Hot 'n Spicy is the cure for what ails ya.
