For an extra buck, you can double the amount of meat on the sandwich. The rest of the sandwich includes Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Thousand Island, between two slices of toasted marble rye bread.
I picked one up for $5.99 at my local Arby's restaurant.
You get about 100g extra of meat with the Double-Stacked over the original Reuben. The meat offers a heartier texture than Arby's roast beef, but isn't as tender.
With double the meat, it's beefier, but the other ingredients become a bit marginalized. The tang from the sauerkraut and Thousand Island goes from light to barely there and the Swiss cheese is hard to distinguish.
The marble rye delivers a light rye flavor and is soft with a chewy crust. I'd prefer a crispier crust, but soft is pretty standard for fast food.
If you're all about the meat and not much else, a buck more gets you double of what you want in Arby's Double-Stacked Reuben. Considering, you'd already be paying $5 for the original, an extra dollar for twice the amount of the key ingredient isn't too shabby.
