Soda Shaq features real Madagascar vanilla, cane sugar, and 90 calories per serving, as well no artificial colors or preservatives. Available flavors include Original Vanilla Cream, Orange Cream, Blueberry Cream, and Strawberry Cream.
The new soda is available in Arizona's signature single-serve 23.5-ounce cans with a suggested retail price of 99 cents per can. The can designs include the tagline "A Big Can for the Big Man" and prominently feature Shaq's face sporting various expressions.
While celebrity endorsements are common enough, they typically don't come with the celebrity's face plastered on the drink, so this is a bit new.
This is such an odd marketing stunt to me... do they really think a gigantic picture of Shaq's face is going to draw sales? I'd try it only because I love cream soda, and am especially curious about the blueberry cream.
ReplyDeleteI bought 3 of em (my 7-elev only had 3 flavors) because of Shaq's face, but I love cream soda, so I would've bought em without it. Their new Lime Rickeys (what I went in for) are damn tasty too.
ReplyDeleteWhat flavors and were they good? Also, how does cream soda taste vs say a sprite or some regular soda.
ReplyDeleteCream soda is just a vanilla cream flavored soda. You've never had any regular cream soda? The vanilla cream tastes just like any other cream soda basically. The orange cream is okay. If there was a Stewart's Orange n Cream next to it, I wouldn't buy it. The strawberry just tasted like any other strawberry soda. It wasn't very "cream"-y
ReplyDeleteWow I had no clue it was that. When I hear cream soda I think its more gooey and it has this weird texture, but thanks to you, I gotta try it.
ReplyDeleteThe orange cream soda is the most delicious. I buy 4 at a time!!!!
ReplyDeleteI tried the blueberry & the strawberry. The blueberry is definitely my favorite. It's my new favorite fruit soda. The strawberry is alright, but it's not as good as the blueberry. I'm gonna try the rest, but I don't want to have more than one a day, one can's got like 75 grams of sugar.
