A 9.5-ounce package goes for $2.99 at my local supermarket.
The cookie is soft and crumbly with a light cocoa flavor. It's almost brownie-ish. I've never understood why they're called "Chewy Chips Ahoy" when they're not chewy at all.
You'll be hard put to taste the cookie alone, as almost every bite contains some creamy milk chocolate or smooth peanut butter. It's almost like half candy-half cookie.
Between the amount of chocolate chips, peanut butter cup pieces, and chips, plus the soft texture of the cookie itself, the whole thing kinda just dissolves/melts in your mouth. It's actually pretty cool.
Like regular Chewy Chips Ahoy cookies (about 2 inches in diameter), these are quite small compared to most other packaged chocolate chips cookies save for maybe Famous Amos.
Overall, I liked Nabisco's Chocolate Chewy Chips Ahoy cookies with Reese's Peanut Butter Cups quite a bit, and more so than the regular Chewy Chips Ahoy. I especially like the substantial milk chocolate and peanut butter flavors--a favorite combination of mine. I might even like them more than the regular Chips Ahoy with Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

I tried these once. I thought they'd be good when I needed a Reese's fix. They did but they're not the best cookie I've had, but still fairly decent.
ReplyDeleteyo put these bad boys in the fridge its so bomb.
ReplyDeleteThey had Reese's in regular (not chocolate) cookies for a while. They were awesome! My wife would get them for me automatically. She got these one day, i wasn't impressed. Now they just have these chocolate ones every time. :'(
